Raúl Fernández arrives at the Catalunya GP in 15th place in the MotoGP world championship. The Spanish rider finished the Le Mans GP in 11th position, thus securing another five points in the championship.
In his debrief, the Trackhouse Racing rider spoke about his expectations for this weekend after Aprilia’s positive results at the Montmeló circuit.
– I’m going to try to win. I don’t know why the Aprilia is so good here, it seems super easy to ride the bike here. We made the podium in the Sprint as well. In France we were almost a second faster than last year. It’s good to have good data for a GP, we know that will help, but we have to focus on understanding the situation with the bike, trying to understand the potential. The plans for the test with the ’24 version will only be at Mugello, I’m fine with what I have now. The next plan with the new bike will be to do more test laps at Mugello.
Asked about his future in MotoGP, Raul replied: ‘We’re only at the beginning of the year. I know what I want to do and I know where I want to stay. I don’t think this is the moment to talk about it, but I think we have to wait for two or three more races. I’d like to stay.
