Jorge Martín finished the MotoGP Catalan GP with a strengthened lead, but didn’t win any of the races. This Sunday, he was second in the main race in Barcelona, behind Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati).
Satisfied with the result, the Prima Pramac Spaniard began by saying to the official broadcast: ‘I’m super happy, super proud about the race. Today was a tough one, starting from seventh. But I exited perfectly from the first corner, coming into fourth. Then I felt great. I was saving some tyre, but eventhough I was overtaking all of the riders’.
Despite leading for several laps, Martín couldn’t sustain Bagnaia’s pace, nor pressure his rival until the end as he tried to do, as he mentioned:
– At some point I felt Pecco had something else, I just tried to keep the pace always, and at the end I had nothing left on my pocket. I just tried to finish. I saw we had a big gap, I tried to put some pressure on Pecco, but it was difficult. Thanks to everyone, it was a difficult race and we’re looking forward for the next one.
