The Superbike World Championship held two days of testing at Misano on Thursday and Friday, just two weeks ahead of the circuit hosting another round of the season. Toprak Razgatlioglu was a standout performer.
On the second day, the Turkish rider from ROKiT BMW completed a lap in 1m32.535s – hours after a brief spell of rain. Razgatlioglu, who had also been the fastest on Thursday, lapped below the official WSBK record at Misano while working on the setup and electronics of his M 1000 RR.
Jonathan Rea (Pata Prometeon Yamaha) finished second, 0.578s behind Razgatlioglu. The two Aruba.it Ducati riders followed: championship leader Nicolò Bulega and two-time world champion Álvaro Bautista, who suffered three crashes on the last day. Andrea Locatelli (Pata Prometeon Yamaha) rounded out the top five. Alex Lowes placed the best Kawasaki in seventh on the second day.
Riders from the Supersport World Championship were also on track. The fastest among them was Adrián Huertas (Aruba.it Ducati), who set the 19th fastest time overall on Friday. Near the end, he surpassed Stefano Manzi (Pata Prometeon Ten Kate Yamaha) by 0.382s, who had led for much of the day. Bahattin Sofuoglu (MV Agusta) finished third.
