Rumors about Pramac’s future in MotoGP continue to swirl, despite the team’s manager, Gino Borsoi, having already assured that they would stay with two official Ducati bikes in 2025.
According to the Corse di Moto website, citing ‘well-informed sources in the paddock’, Paolo Campinoti’s team may have already reached an agreement with Yamaha, marking the first time they would be a satellite team for this manufacturer.
Currently, the YZR-M1 is a much less competitive bike compared to the Ducati Desmosedici GP. However, there are financial advantages for Pramac in this partnership, which would come with favorable conditions for the payment of riders and bikes.
In recent rounds, Yamaha seems to be making progress on track, with the manufacturer trying to take advantage of development concessions. Returning to having a satellite team to aid in this development process is a strong ambition for Yamaha, which has been the only brand with just the factory team since last year.
Decisions should not take long. It is speculated that Pramac has an option to renew with Ducati, but this expires on July 31. Furthermore, these contracts need to be finalized in advance to allow for the necessary logistical preparations.
