This afternoon, the qualifying race for the MXGP of Latvia took place, with Tim Gajser emerging victorious. The rider led from start to finish on this Saturday in Kegums.
After being the fastest in the timed practice, Gajser (Team HRC) quickly took control of the race with a holeshot, securing first place. His closest challenger was championship leader Jorge Prado (Red Bull GasGas).
The standings remained unchanged throughout the race, with the Slovenian managing his lead to win by 3.425s ahead of Prado. Glenn Coldenhoff (Fantic Factory) finished third after overtaking Mattia Guadagnini (Nestaan Husqvarna) near the end.
The Italian rider lost another position at the same time, allowing Calvin Vlaanderen (Monster Energy Yamaha) to finish in fourth place. Jeffrey Herlings (Red Bull KTM) completed the race in sixth position.
