Massimo Bottari, an amateur Italian rider, passed away in a dramatic crash while training at the Vallelunga circuit in Italy. He was 61 years old, and the accident is currently under investigation.
According to Corriere della Sera, Bottari was alone on the track at the time and lost control of his bike. He was immediately attended to and transported to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Local police are now investigating the crash, and the dynamics of the crash are being reconstructed. It will also need to be determined if all safety measures at the circuit were adhered to.
Bottari was well known in the motorcycling community around Rome, competing for the Rosmas Racing Team. Motorcycle Sports extends heartfelt condolences to the rider’s family and friends.
