The beautiful and historic riverside town of Senigallia, Italy, hosted the 30th anniversary of the H.O.G. Rally, which took place from June 6 to 9, 2024. This edition exceeded all expectations, with around 100,000 Harley-Davidson fans and members of the Harley Owners Group present in the Le Marche region over the three days of the event. More than 20,000 motorcycles from Europe and elsewhere attended this iconic event that transformed the city into a paradise for Harley-Davidson fans.
The main event areas included Piazza Garibaldi, the Foro Annonario and the gardens of the huge medieval fortress “Rocca Roveresca”, with attractions such as a welcoming H.O.G. hang-out zone and a Harley-Davidson Expo with all the latest 2024 models. The new Street Glide and Road Glide models, with the Milwaukee-Eight 117 V-Twin engine, were on display to celebrate the new era of performance, technology and touring design. More than 270 people took part in Harley-Davidson’s free test rides and off-road fans took the opportunity to take part in an exclusive off-road experience organized by the Di Traverso Adventouring team, led by apartment track legend Marco Belli. These tours took place on some of the best Strade Bianche in the Le Marche region – white gravel roads that took riders on alternative routes – and demonstrated the versatility of the Pan America 1250.
On Friday, the Custom Bike Show, sponsored by Metzeler, featured many incredible creations from across the European continent. The overall winner was Italian Mirko Perugini, while Diane Halhead from the UK took home the Metzeler People’s Choice Award – voted for by over 300 members of the public.
Saturday’s spectacular parade was led by Harley-Davidson VIPs, including Jochen Zeitz, CEO of Harley-Davidson and Karen Davidson, Global H-D Ambassador, great-granddaughter of founder William A. Davidson and daughter of William G. “Willie G.” Davidson, Chief Styling Officer Emeritus, highlighting the importance of the Rally on a global level. Representatives of H.O.G. chapters and flag bearers also led the parade that set off from the seafront road in front of the iconic Rotunda. More than 3,000 motorcyclists took part in the 33km parade and thousands of spectators lined the route.
No H.O.G. event would be complete without an extensive entertainment program and this year’s rally included an impressive Italian and international line-up, hosted by DJ Ringo from Italy’s Virgin Radio. Among the bands in attendance were: The Picturebooks (Germany), Eric Steckel (USA), The Rainband (UK) Marky Ramone’s Blitzkrieg (USA), Heavenix (Slovenia) Timothy Cavicchini and the Gang (Italy) and Giuseppe Scarpato (Italy).
During the event, Harley-Davidson was pleased to confirm that the Harley-Davidson® Euro Festival will return to Porte Grimaud, Gulf of Saint-Tropez, France, from May 8 to 11, 2025. Last held in 2018, the Euro Festival has returned in response to huge customer demand for a major celebration of music and motorcycling culture, with international bands playing live and incredible Harley-Davidson experiences on the French Riviera coast. Regularly attracting over 30,000 attendees, the Euro Festival promises to be a great, unmissable season opener in a packed calendar of Harley-Davidson-sponsored events in 2025.
Kolja Rebstock, Vice President and Managing Director EMEA at Harley-Davidson Motor Company commented on the Rally: “The response from riders to this fantastic event in Italy has been overwhelming, from local residents to those who have traveled from afar. With participants from all over the world, stretching far beyond Europe, from Brazil to New Zealand, it really demonstrates the incredible sense of community that the Harley Owners Group embodies and, indeed, the strength of the Harley-Davidson brand in Italy. Special thanks to the Commune of Senigallia and the Le Marche region, to all our event partners who made the occasion possible, to our sponsors and, above all, to everyone who joined us for this incredible rally. See you at European Bike Week 2024 and, of course, at the long-awaited return of the Harley-Davidson Euro Festival, which will be held on the French Riviera in May 2025!”
The next event on Harley-Davidson’s European calendar is European Bike Week at Lake Faak in Austria from September 3 to 8, which attracts more than 100,000 visitors every year.
