Good news comes from Italy as Mia Rusthen apparently is not in a life-threatening condition following a severe crash this morning during the first race of the Women’s Circuit Racing World Championship (WorldWCR) at Misano.
The accident occurred at Turn 16 with seven laps remaining. According to WorldSBK.com, Rusthen sustained a head injury, including a concussion, and is currently receiving treatment at a hospital in Cesena.
Despite the need for medical attention, Rusthen is reported to be in stable condition. The incident led to the race being red-flagged, and it will be restarted this afternoon with a shortened distance.
