Today one more place on the grid was (finally) confirmed, with Marco Bezzecchi to sign with Aprilia Racing for the next two seasons, closing then another door for the riders still looking for a place. One of those is Augusto Fernández, who sees himself in a complicated situation.
The GASGAS Tech3 rider addressed his position for next year, and speaking to Relevo began to say: ‘Right now I’m in the worst situation. I know I have a lot more. There’s more than half a year left. So… it can be torture’.
With a lot to be played, the reality is that at this point half of the grid is already closed, with just 11 places left: ‘I don’t know what’s going to happen next year, but we have half a year left. I don’t see myself having such a bad time all that time’.
Therefore it is needed to put everything together and work things around, to prove himself worthy of being a bet by some team: ‘So we have to try to draw strength and turn the situation around, because there is a lot of good information from the other riders that we can copy. We have to try to have a good time in the remainder of the season and next year we’ll see where we’ll be. But at least turn this around’.
