Despite the struggles to be competitive with Repsol Honda in 2023, Marc Márquez remains committed to giving his best on the track, even though he balances the risk of attacking with caution.
The Spanish rider explained before the MotoGP Thai GP that he will keep the approach from the previous round, starting on attack mode from the beginning, although he acknowledges that this doesn’t necessarily guarantee a good result:
– Of course in Phillip Island I was pushing, but if you need to take an extra risk, normally you prefer to take it in the slow corners because in a fast corner if you crash normally it’s easier to get injured. So here we will start like in Phillip Island: attacking. But attacking doesn’t means a good result; it means a good mentality trying to push from the beginning and let’s see if you can start in a good way and to be in the top ten positions would be enough.
