The AMA Pro Motocross had another stage this week after a brief stop, and upon return there were no major changes, with the trends remaining, in general terms. Jett Lawrence and Chase Sexton won in the main category, while Haiden Deegan and Jo Shimoda excelled in the 250.
AMA 450:
The first moto was won by Jett Lawrence, who beat his brother and championship leader, Hunter Lawrence, by more than 6s, while Chase Sexton took the last place on the podium. In the second the order was reversed but with the same riders at the top: this time it was Sexton who won, with Jett in second and Hunter in third.
Overall, the victory went to Jett, who thus approached the lead in the championship and with the same points as Sexton, both with 210, while Hunter leads with 213.
AMA 250:
Deegan was the big winner of the first moto and with a wide margin compared to the most direct competition, led by Tom Vialle who was more than 15s behind. Chance Hymas was third. For the second race, victory went to Shimoda, with Deegan second this time ahead of Vialle.
Shimoda won his first victory of the year but Deegan was the one who scored the most, widening his gap on the leaderboard, where he now has 238 points. Hymas is second with 196, one more than Vialle.
