The McMurty Spéirling is not one of those sports cars that we are used to seeing on the road, as this electric single-seater has limited production and its price is not affordable for everyone.
However, the McMurty Spéirling has been in the news for the performances it has been achieving and more recently for setting a new record on the Hockenheim track in Germany, where it completed a lap in a time of 1m24.4 seconds, which is 14.1 seconds faster than the previous record set by the Mercedes-AMG One.
The feat was achieved by Max Chilton, former F1 driver, who drove the 1000 hp electric McMurtry and, according to the British brand, only used 75% of the available power and aerodynamic load.
The McMurty Spéirling is equipped with a 60 kWh battery and electric motors that deliver a total of 1000 hp.
Adding power to the low weight of this car, 998 kg, benefiting from a carbon fiber chassis, this fully electric model accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 1.5 seconds, and reaches a top speed of 305 km/h.
It is already known that the McMurtry Spéirling has a starting price of €1.06 million, before taxes, and that its production is limited to 100 units with the first deliveries scheduled for 2025.
