The weekly report from the Energy Services Regulatory Authority (ERSE), revealed this Tuesday, indicates that the average price of gasoline increased by 0.8%, and by 2.9% for diesel.
According to the ERSE document, the efficient price has been updated, “taking into account the weekly variation of international quotations for regular gasoline by +1.8% and for regular diesel by +6.4%”.
Therefore, “for the week of June 17th to 23rd, the Preço Eficiente (Efficient Price) before taxes is €0.825 per liter for regular gasoline and €0.843 for regular diesel. After taxes, the Efficient Price is €1.726 per liter for regular gasoline and €1.582 for regular diesel”.
It should be noted that the efficient price “is a weekly average price estimated by the ERSE and is the sum of the following components: fuel prices in reference international markets and their maritime freight, primary logistics, including strategic and security reserves of the National Petroleum System, additional costs for the incorporation of biofuels, and the retail component increased by the respective taxes”.
Regarding the previous week, the report states that “it was found that the average Prices of Sale to the Public announced on the billboards, and reported in the Energy Single Counter, were 3.9 cents per liter above the Efficient Price for that week, in the case of regular gasoline, and 6.1 cents above in the case of regular diesel”.
In percentage terms, “the 95 gasoline was announced on the portals 2.2% above the Efficient Price and the simple diesel was announced 3.8% above,” according to the ERSE report.
