Fabio Di Giannantonio almost lost his place in MotoGP for 2024, but since the final stages of last season, he has shown the potential to achieve good results, as evidenced by his current eighth place in the championship.
The rider is reportedly targeted by several teams, including Prima Pramac, which is moving to Yamaha. Another possibility is to stay with Pertamina Enduro VR46, theoretically with the most competitive bike on the grid, the Ducati.
In a press conference, the Italian explained that he knows what he wants for the future and explained it: ‘Well, for sure I’m in a different situation compared to last year, and I’m super grateful for this. It means also that we are doing a really good job this winter and this season. For sure I know what I want for the next year; I’m still deciding what is the best solution for me, for my career, but all I want, what we are looking for, is a project where I can be the head of the project. The decision will be made mostly on this. And for sure we’ll take also this weekend and a few days of the next week to make my decision, because on a race weekend is always difficult to take a decision for the future. But we are really future to close my future deal’.
At this point, there is more than one option for Di Giannantonio, as he made known: ‘Well, I have my preference, a clear plan A, then there is a plan B, but we have also a plan C, so I’m quite open. I think this weekend everything will be much clearer, but we going for it’.
