The new custom-built car from Alfa Romeo, 33 Stradale, won the coveted “Design Concept Award” at the “Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este”, which took place last weekend on the shores of Lake Como, Italy.
This was the fifth time an Alfa Romeo car has received this award, following the models Brera, 8C Competizione, 8C Spider, TZ3, and Alfa Romeo 4C Concept. The new 33 Stradale custom-built is directly based on the Tipo 33, an icon from the 60s, still considered one of the most beautiful cars of all time. The new two-seater coupe is produced according to a unique artisanal process, exactly the same way as in the Renaissance artisan boutiques and in the workshops of renowned Italian bodywork builders from the 60s, promising to be as rare as the original, which was produced in 18 units, as Alfa Romeo will only produce 33 units of the new model, all of which are already sold.
The new model comes with two different engines, one equipped with a 3.0-liter V6 twin-turbo gasoline engine, with over 620 hp and another, 100% electric, that will be able to deliver a maximum power above 750 hp.
