With two rounds remaining in the MotoGP season, it’s already certain that the title battle will be between Francesco Bagnaia and Jorge Martín, who also know they will finish in one of the top two positions.
With 74 points at stake until the end of the season, Marco Bezzecchi (Mooney VR46 Racing Team/Ducati) is currently in third place 75 points behind the second-placed Martín (Prima Pramac/Ducati). This means that Bezzecchi can no longer improve his current position.
In the title race, the situation is almost the same as before the Malaysian GP. Bagnaia (Ducati) has only gained one point over Martín, giving him a 14-point lead.
In third place, Bezzecchi is also close to securing the final podium, with a 69-point margin over the fourth-placed Brad Binder (Red Bull KTM). Johann Zarco (Prima Pramac/Ducati) has reclaimed the fifth position, now two points ahead of Aleix Espargaró (Aprilia). Fabio Quartararo remains the top rider for Monster Energy Yamaha in ninth place, while the best Honda rider is Marc Márquez (Repsol Honda) in 14th.
