After announcing the opening of orders for the new AMG GT 63 S E Performance Coupé, Mercedes has now revealed that the AMG GT 43 Coupé is already available in the national market.
The new entry-level version in the sports range, the AMG GT comes with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, the same as the one powering the AMG A 45 S, with 421 hp and a torque of 500 Nm, available between 3250 rpm and 5000 rpm.
The combustion engine is associated with an electric turbo, technology inspired by the F1 Mercedes single-seater, which includes a 48V electrical system that the brand says, in addition to the temporary increase in performance, also allows functions such as deceleration and recovery for even greater efficiency. The 48-volt technology also increases comfort, as according to AMG, the transitions between start-stop and deceleration functions are almost imperceptible.
The power of the engine is transmitted to the rear wheels through a nine-speed automatic transmission, allowing acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds and reaching a maximum speed of 280 km/h.
In the cabin, highlights include the 12.3” digital instrument panel, as well as the MBUX infotainment system with an 11.9” touchscreen, along with standard Nappa leather sport seats. Optional are AMG Performance seats with integrated headrests and greater lateral support, as well as a wide range of customization options from the Manufaktur program.
Mercedes-AMG has announced that the new GT 43 Coupe is now available for ordering with a starting price of €160,900.
