The Hypermotard 698 Mono RVE wins the title of “Most Beautiful Motorcycle” at EICMA 2023. The verdict was cast by the public at the International Exhibition of Bicycles, Motorcycles and Accessories, who filled the pavilions of the Milan-Rho Exhibition Center during the four opening days, and who voted directly at the show or online.
The “Vote and Win the Most Beautiful Motorcycle of the Show” contest, organized since 2005 by the Italian magazine Motociclismo in collaboration with EICMA, saw Ducati win its twelfth title this year. The Hypermotard 698 Mono RVE took first place with over 35% of the votes cast by approximately 25,500 enthusiasts, including visitors to the show and users of the Motociclismo website, who expressed their preference.
The announcement of the Hypermotard 698 RVE’s victory came on Sunday, November 12, the last day of the show, followed by the official awards ceremony at the Motociclismo stand. Receiving the prestigious award for the company from Borgo Panigale was Andrea Ferraresi, Director of the Centro Stile Ducati.
It was a special Sunday for Ducati, which not only won this title for the twelfth time in eighteen editions, but also literally triumphed in Sepang, monopolizing the podium with Enea Bastianini, Alex Márquez and Pecco Bagnaia. With the results of the Malaysian Grand Prix, Ducati equals two absolute records in MotoGP: the number of 15 victories in a season, and with no less than five riders (Bagnaia, Bezzecchi, Martín, Zarco and Bastianini) winning.
Receiving the “Most Beautiful Motorcycle of the Show” award was the last act of an intense week that saw hundreds of thousands of visitors flock to the 2023 edition of EICMA, confirming the continued growth of the Milanese event.
The prestigious result achieved by the Hypermotard 698 Mono RVE is confirmation of the incredible interest aroused by the Ducati fun-bike, exhibited on the stand together with the Superquadro Mono engine. Right from the start, the public flocked to the Ducati stand, where the company from Borgo Panigale showed off the novelties presented during World Première 2024, which at EICMA 2023 had its sixth episode with the Panigale V4 SP2 30th Anniversario 916, 500 of which were sold in just three days. The presentation event was also an opportunity to announce the dates of World Ducati Week 2024, which will take place over the weekend of July 26-28, as always at the Misano World Circuit “Marco Simoncelli”.
Enthusiasts were able to admire the entire Multistrada family, enriched this year with the new V4 S Grand Tour and the V4 RS. The DesertX Rally was also a big hit with visitors, displayed alongside the DesertX in the “RR22” color scheme.
The three Scrambler® models, Icon, Full Throttle and Nightshift, starred in an event outside the show with the participation of artist duo Van Orton Design, and let’s not forget the new e-MTB Powerstage RR.
All the bikes can be seen on the Ducati.com website, where the new configurator is already online and with which enthusiasts can create the bike of their dreams by embellishing it with Ducati Performance accessories, and, in the case of the 2024 models, view them in different scenarios.
Also on display were, of course, the Panigale V4 R with which Álvaro Bautista was confirmed World Superbike Champion in Jerez, and the DesmosediciGP that Pecco Bagnaia put in charge of the World Championship at the start of the last MotoGP races. Both bikes were displayed in the yellow color scheme worn by the official MotoGP and WorldSBK riders at the Italian Grand Prix and, in Superbike, also at the final round in Jerez. Also at its side was the V21L electric prototype, with its special color scheme inspired by Ducati’s sporting history, with which it captivated the public at the IAA MOBILITY in Munich. On Friday, the PanigaleV2 World Supersport Champion with Nicolò Bulega also took to the stage.
The Ducati motorcycles, and the many guests and friends who attended, brought the EICMA MotoLive stand and outdoor area to life. Ducati now awaits enthusiasts at World Ducati Week 2024. The date is set for the weekend of July 26-28, as always at the Misano World Circuit “Marco Simoncelli”
