Francesco Bagnaia secured third place in the Sprint race at the MotoGP German GP this Saturday, ending a winning streak that began in Mugello.
The Ducati rider initially led the race but couldn’t hold the position, finishing behind Jorge Martín (Prima Pramac/Ducati) and Miguel Oliveira (Trackhouse Racing/Aprilia).
Despite not winning, Bagnaia found the result satisfactory. The reigning two-time champion shared his thoughts in the official broadcast when asked if he was pleased with the third place:
– A lot, yeah, because I think more than this was difficult today. I was struggling a bit with the front feeling because I was losing it a lot. But they [Martín and Oliveira] really have done a better job than me. So I’m very happy. Tomorrow we will try to do another step.
