The sports goods brand, Decathlon, has chosen EDP Comercial to install 42 charging points in stores across the country, in order to promote electric mobility in Portugal.
Under the agreement now revealed between the two companies, EDP will install the new charging points in seven Decathlon stores in mainland Portugal, offering fast and standard charging solutions to customers visiting the stores in Aveiro, Coimbra, Sintra, Cascais, Montijo, Évora, and Faro. The charging points will range from 11 to 60 kW of power.
The new 42 electric vehicle charging points will be connected to the public Mobi.E network and can be used by any electric car driver, regardless of their electric mobility energy provider (CEME).
The new charging points strengthen EDP Comercial’s network, which already has over 2400 battery charging points for electric vehicles, in more than 195 municipalities across all districts of the country.
