For 2024, Fantic Motor is renewing the entire Caballero family. Lovers of the classic scrambler from Veneto can rest assured: it has remained true to itself and has not been renovated. Not only have the changes not affected all the qualities that have made it one of the most popular bikes in the segment, but they have also enhanced them, starting with the light weight that many appreciate: the new 500 weighs just 149 kg. The three different styling versions have also been confirmed: Rally for those who like it more off-road, Deluxe for those who want a more urban character and Explorer for those who want more adventure.
The new range doesn’t change the model’s platform, but it is renewed in every respect, starting with the styling, with new headlights, indicators and rear light with integrated license plate holder, compared to the previous version. The Fantic design center has designed all the new headlight components in-house, starting with the extremely bright 24 LED position light and the round rear light, also entirely in LED. Importantly, the electronic components feature a new 4″ premium LCD instrument with a much richer user interface, which adds the gear indicator, engine level and temperature. It also includes Bluetooth for calls and audio. The new handlebar grips allow the ABS to be turned off completely using the “Off-road” riding mode.
The engine has also undergone a performance boost with updated mapping that further optimizes its linearity, offering range at all revs and reducing the on/off effect. The frame, on the other hand, sees the introduction of a new aluminum swingarm. Inspired by the 700, it improves rigidity and off-road performance, while also reducing weight by 2 kg compared to the previous steel version. All the 2023 versions and colors are confirmed, to which the Scrambler version will be added, as well as the historic Azzurro version that we’ve already seen on the Caballero 700.
The entire Caballero range will also be equipped with the new app for iOS and Android – Fantic Garage – capable of managing the bike’s functionality, maintenance and navigation on a single practical platform.
