Max Verstappen secures pole position for the Miami Grand Prix Sprint, narrowly defeating Charles Leclerc of Ferrari. Verstappen clocked a time of 1:27.641s in SQ3, giving him a one-tenth of a second advantage over Leclerc. Sergio Perez trailed his teammate by another tenth of a second.
Impressively, Daniel Ricciardo claimed fourth place for RB, while Carlos Sainz took fifth position. Oscar Piastri and the two Aston Martin drivers also secured strong positions.
Initially, Lando Norris showed promise by challenging Verstappen, but an error in the first sector resulted in a disappointing ninth place.
Unfortunately, both Mercedes drivers, George Russell and Lewis Hamilton, failed to advance to the pole Sprint battle. Russell narrowly missed out in 11th place, while Hamilton finished in 12th.
