From 2025, Formula 1 will be broadcast in Portugal by DAZN – formerly Eleven Sports. The agreement is valid for three seasons, until 2027.
The British platform already has the broadcasting rights for F1 in several countries, including Spain and Japan. Now, DAZN will also broadcast the premier category in Portugal – as Eleven Sports did between 2019 and 2021.
And in a highly anticipated season, where Lewis Hamilton heads to Ferrari and Red Bull will no longer be able to count on Adrian Newey – whose departure in the first quarter of next year was announced yesterday. In 2026, the new rules and the entry of Audi will arrive.
DAZN will broadcast all rounds of the season and all sessions, with the package also including broadcasts of the feeder championships – Formula 2 and Formula 3 – F1 Academy and Porsche SuperCup.
Jorge Pavão de Sousa, general director of DAZN Portugal, stated: ‘We want to continue the growth of motorsport in Portugal and, above all, continue to value our product for sports fans. The upcoming Formula 1 seasons promise to bring many new features that will have an impact on the competition. Adding the world’s biggest motorsport competition to the best football in Europe is another important step for DAZN to be the reference in sports entertainment with the best content portfolio in Portugal’.
