The German GP was the best of the MotoGP season so far for Miguel Oliveira and Trackhouse Racing. The rider was consistently in the fight for top positions, being the best non-Ducati rider.
After finishing second in the Sprint race, the Portuguese rider couldn’t repeat the performance in Sunday’s race. Nevertheless, he crossed the finish line in sixth place as the best non-Ducati, with a convincing margin of over four seconds ahead of the immediate rival, Pedro Acosta (Red Bull GasGas Tech3/KTM).
Giving Ducati a fight on a track where the Borgo Panigale manufacturer was so strong is a good sign for Oliveira, but the #88 admitted to the press that it won’t be easy to beat the rivals:
– For sure it’s a good sign. It’s good to see the points where we need to work, but how to solve them, then it’s another story. And also Ducati is in constant evolution and this season I think they are putting everything together to make an even better bike for the future. It will not be easy. Let’s see.
