Marco Bezzecchi topped the timesheets in the second free practice session of the Valencia GP in MotoGP. This session allowed riders and teams to focus on preparing for qualifying and the races without being concerned about lap times.
Initially, Jorge Martín (Pramac Racing/Ducati) set the pace, clocking faster lap times than yesterday’s FP1 benchmark right from the second lap. His teammate Johann Zarco briefly held second position before being overtaken by Maverick Viñales (Aprilia).
Within the first ten minutes, Marc Márquez (Repsol Honda) climbed to the top of the time charts, followed by Raúl Fernández (CryptoDATA RNF MotoGP Team/Aprilia) securing the third-fastest time. Shortly after, Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati) came within seven milliseconds of Marc Márquez before surpassing him to become the new leader.
There was another change in leadership six minutes before the end, with Álex Márquez (Gresini Racing/Ducati) surpassing Bagnaia. However, the best times were yet to come. Bezzecchi (Mooney VR46 Racing Team/Ducati) emerged as the fastest rider towards the end, edging out Álex Márquez by 19 milliseconds. Bagnaia settled for third, Marc Márquez took fourth, and Fabio Quartararo (Monster Energy Yamaha) completed the top five.
