Fabio Di Giannantonio knows what he will do in the 2025 season. Rumors suggest he is set to continue with Pertamina Enduro VR46 for two more seasons, now with a direct contract with Ducati.
So far, nothing has been officially confirmed by the rider, the manufacturer, or the team. However, the Italian assured the official championship website that it is only a matter of time before the announcement: ‘The decision has been taken’, he said.
When asked if it is possible to see him with the same colors next year, Di Giannantonio refused to confirm or deny, stating: ‘You’ll see’
It is worth noting that, in addition to VR46, Yamaha team director Massimo Meregalli has also admitted to the press that the Italian was a top target for Prima Pramac Racing, with the decision regarding their other rider depending on the possibility of signing him.
After nearly losing his spot in the 2024 grid, Fabio Di Giannantonio’s strong finish to the 2023 season saved his place with VR46. His results have been in line with expectations, having only missed the top ten for the first time at the German GP, where he was forced to retire due to a crash. He currently sits in eighth place in the championship.
