Fabio Quartararo was absent from the warm-up session at the MotoGP Valencia Grand Prix, all because he chose to rest following high fevers he experienced overnight.
There’s no further information about the health status of the 2021 champion. His team, Monster Energy Yamaha, and the championship itself did not indicate that his presence in this afternoon’s race was at risk.
After failing to finish yesterday’s Sprint race, Quartararo will defend his tenth position in the championship on Sunday, with Jack Miller (Red Bull KTM) four points behind. The Frenchman can finish, at best, in ninth place.
