The Members Meeting is a racing event exclusively for members of the Goodwood Road Racing Club. It features a variety of motor races and high-speed demonstrations on the track, as well as other festivities for fans of historic cars. This event is the first of three major automotive and motorsport events, with the other two being the renowned Festival of Speed and the Goodwood Revival. In 2024, the Members Meeting will celebrate its 81st edition and the 10th since it was restarted in 2014.
A total of 14 races will take place on April 13 and 14, 2024, all of which will be broadcast live on the Goodwood Road and Racing YouTube channel. In addition to the races, there will be various demonstrations that allow non-members to experience the excitement. One of the highlights of this year’s event are the Can-Am demonstrations, which celebrate 50 years since the series ended in 1974. These demonstrations will feature 20 cars from brands such as Lola, McLaren, Chaparral, Ferrari, Porsche, Alfa Romeo, and Shadow. The roar of the V8 engines of these cars will provide an exciting spectacle for participants and viewers of the live broadcast.
Another thrilling race is the Hailwood Trophy, which will feature 30 motorcycles divided into two categories. The motorcycles include iconic machines such as the Yamaha TZ350G, Honda CB750, and Ducati 750S. There will also be races for edwardian-era racing cars and pre-war aero-engined machines, Group 1 touring cars from the 70s and 80s, 1,000cc Formula 3 cars from the 60s and 70s, among others.
