In recent times we have already informed you about radars with artificial intelligence that promise to fine without limitations, in addition, we also revealed the existence of educational radars to combat speeding, and now in the fight against accidents it is the turn of intelligent traffic signs.
These signs, which according to the American channel “Fox13” are being tested in Seattle and Washington, show drivers the digital reading of the speed at which they are traveling and moreover, they can alert the driver to turn off the mobile phone if they are using the device while driving.
Intelligent signs make use of infrared technology and a set of sensors that allow alerting the driver to speeding, driving without a seatbelt, or using the mobile phone while driving.
Tim Hogan, CEO of SaferStreet Solutions, the company that is developing these smart signals, has already stated that the use of these new signals allows providing drivers with real-time feedback on their actions behind the wheel, and thus reducing distraction during driving by up to 40%.
