RB’s Yuki Tsunoda expressed his admiration for the hosting of the first FIA Formula E race in Japan in Tokyo. Tsunoda, who attended the Tokyo E-Prix before the Japanese Grand Prix in Suzuka, spoke with TNT Sports on the grid and admitted to feeling envious of the city street race. He mentioned that hosting the race in the heart of Tokyo allows easy access for new fans who may not have been interested in motorsport before. In comparison, Suzuka’s location makes it a bit more challenging for fans to attend. Tsunoda also mentioned his experience in the simulator, where he noticed the undulations and watched videos of the Formula E cars jumping. He expressed surprise at the acceleration and power of the FE cars. Tsunoda’s presence at the E-Prix as a current Formula 1 driver, unrelated to Formula E, is a rare occurrence. His positive comments about the sport will undoubtedly please fans, drivers, teams, and FE officials.
