Ducati showed clear improvements from the Friday sessions of the German GP to Sunday’s race. Initially, it seemed that Aprilia could pose a significant challenge to the Borgo Panigale manufacturer, but in the decisive main race, the best bike from Noale finished sixth – with Miguel Oliveira (Trackhouse Racing) trailing behind five Ducatis.
The opponents acknowledge Ducati’s improvement throughout the weekend. When asked during a press conference about the reasons behind this upward trajectory during a round, Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati) responded:
– I don’t care, I just try to do it and I try to improve my feeling. The feeling makes our performance better and better every session. We are eight, so you can see clearly when someone is doing a better job – like here [Jorge] Martín was very strong at turn 8, Marc [Márquez] was very strong at turn 7, I was very strong at turns 9, 10, 11. So, the more you are, the more data you have, so it’s easier to make steps.
Ducati’s dominance is evident in the championship standings, with four riders occupying the top four spots between the factory team and satellite team. Aside from Maverick Viñales (Aprilia) at the GP of the Americas, Ducati has consistently won, with victories shared between Martín (Prima Pramac/Ducati) and Bagnaia.
