Trackhouse Racing may not be “only” eyeing the top MotoGP category, with the CryptoDATA RNF MotoGP Team being involved in the equation according to several international sources, but the US-based team may even want to extend its motorcycling activity to other classes.
According to GPOne, Justin Marks – owner of the American team – was in Valencia to evaluate the possibility of “attacking” Prüstel, which is active in Moto3, through a collaboration with Leopard.
Dorna, FIM and IRTA banned the team of Miguel Oliveira and Raúl Fernández from the top category for 2024, claiming that the structure founded by Razlan Razali had committed ‘repeated infractions and breaches of the Participation Agreement affecting the public image of MotoGP’ in a process that promises to cause a lot of ink to flow, since CryptoDATA RNF, through its executive director, Ovidiu Toma, claims that it will use legal mechanisms to defend itself and avoid exclusion.
Despite this lawsuit, it is certain that Marks has been meeting with Dorna about starting his activity in the motorbike racing world, for MotoGP and beyond. The fact that he apparently has the backing of Leopard, who recently won Moto3 with Jaume Masiá, will give the American’s project a boost.
All that remains now is to wait for the next chapters and the news that is expected in the coming weeks, or even months. In any case, next year’s World Championship is set to begin in February at the Sepang tests.
