Toprak Razgatlioglu made the most impactful change in the World Superbike Championship paddock of the season after leaving Yamaha, manufacturer with which he won a world title, to move to BMW, which is still looking for the best results in the class. The turkish rider talent is well known, and Garrett Gerloff admitted he wouldn’t be surprised to see his teammate doing well right from the get-go.
Before this tests take place, in Portugal in a couple of days, the north american said he believes the #54’s impression on the bike will be good: ‘I think he’s going to like it! The steps that we’ve made with braking, I don’t think he’s going to feel too far away from where he was’.
It is a change, Gerloff believes, that it won’t be as noticeable as you might imagene: ‘Honestly, I don’t see him struggling at all; I see him being exactly the same, going just as fast or more than likely faster. I think he’ll gel with it really good and I’d be surprised if he wasn’t doing lap records in the second test’.
