The only unit of the Mercedes-AMG One sold in Portugal, a hypercar priced at over three million euros, has already been delivered to the happy customer, who wished to remain anonymous.
The order for this hypercar was handled by Sociedade Comercial C. Santos, in a selection process that required the customer to go through several stages before being able to finalize the order contract.
The criteria were strict: interested parties had to have a history of relationship with the Mercedes-Benz group, be car collectors, and have the intention of keeping the Mercedes-AMG One, meaning that selling in the short term was not part of the potential customer’s intentions.
“There were many months of negotiations, including a secret meeting on the outskirts of Geneva (Switzerland) where attendees were not allowed to have a mobile phone or watch, until the deal was given the green light to proceed,” the dealer revealed in a statement.
The final configuration of the Mercedes-AMG One took place in Munich, Germany, at the end of 2018, and only now has the customer received the hypercar, of which only 275 units will be produced.
Remember that the Mercedes-AMG One produces a power of 1063 hp, which comes from a V6 combustion engine with 1.6 liters, mounted in a central position that offers 574 hp of power at 9000 rpm, which combines with four electric motors, one of them is mounted on the crankshaft and delivers 163 hp, a second motor integrated in the turbocharger that offers 122 hp, and two motors mounted on the front axle that contribute, each, with 163 hp.
In this way, the four electric motors have a power of 612 hp, and in combination with the combustion engine, the AMG One provides a total power of 1063 hp.
These numbers allow the Mercedes hypercar to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.9s, and reach a maximum speed, electronically limited, of 352 km/h.
