Marco Bezzecchi finished this Friday at the top of the leaderboard with a new time record.
Asked about the differences in grip between the Catalunya circuit and Misano, the Italian rider revealed that at the Spanish circuit it’s boring to manage the grip because there isn’t much sensitivity and that it’s the opposite at the Italian circuit: ‘In Barcelona it’s very boring to manage the grip because you have to control a lot more, here it’s similar but you feel the advantage when you do it, while in Barcelona it’s difficult to feel the real grip of the bike. At this circuit the bike is faster, more powerful and more fun to ride and that’s the main difference between the two circuits’
The Italian rider left Spain with some pain in his hand after crashing in the first corner of the Catalan circuit and revealed that he expected to be better during today’s session: ‘I expected to be better to be honest, this morning I had some pain, but during the afternoon I started to feel even more pain, even though the time attack was only for three laps it was at a time of the day when I had already done a lot of laps, it was difficult especially in the right-hand corners and in the transitions, I just have to manage the pain better’
