After waiting for some weeks, at the beginning of December Toprak Razgatlioglu finally tested the BMW with which he will compete at the World Superbike Championship in 2024. And the Bavarian manufacturer was pleased with the work done by the 2021 champion.
Marc Bongers, BMW Motorrad motorsport director, said quoted by SPEEDWEEK.com that the feedback the Turkish rider provided confirms the potential of the bike, also giving a base to improve:
– There were a lot of positive comments and no drama. We just went through a few points of what we can offer him and what he feels, and that was very good. Not only he speak very positively about the performance of the M1000RR, but also about our electronics, turning, etc.. Everything he said is a base on which we can build. It confirms that we have a good package. Now we have to make the best of it, both with him and with the other guys.
This first test for Razgatlioglu was particularly focused on getting the first feelings and set-up some aspects like bike’s ergonomics.
