However, Hamilton struggled during the second practice session in Jeddah, finishing eighth overall and trailing Russell by four tenths of a second. Hamilton made several adjustments to the car between sessions in an attempt to improve rear stability, but was unsuccessful. He admitted to experiencing moments of instability at high speeds, which affected his confidence in the car. Hamilton and Russell took different approaches to car setup, with Russell appearing to be more comfortable with the W15. Hamilton emphasized his desire for a stable rear, as this would greatly enhance his performance.
