Dacia has revealed that the new generation of the Duster, the brand’s most successful model in Europe, with over 2.2 million units produced since 2010, will debut in the national market starting from March 11, with the opening of orders, while the first deliveries are scheduled for spring.
The new range includes three levels of equipment: Essential, Expression, and a new top of the range, with two distinct but complementary equipment levels available at equivalent prices: Extreme and Journey.
With a unique design and details in Copper Brown, the Duster Extreme is ideal for outdoor enthusiasts looking for a robust and practical car (washable Micro-Cloud upholstery, modular roof bars, etc.). The Duster Journey is aimed at customers who prefer an elegant and discreet design, combined with comfort and technology (automatic parking brake, Media Nav Live, etc.).
The new Duster arrives with a modern design, maintaining the striking appearance that propelled previous generations to the top – especially its solid and robust SUV character, which includes a vertical front section, ribbed wheel arch protectors, a large rear door, seamless side windows extending from “bow to stern,” as well as a new grille and a luminous signature marked by the Y of the LED daytime running lights.
In terms of engines, the new Duster will not be available with Diesel versions, and in this sense the highlight is the Hybrid 140 variant, which combines a 1.6 petrol engine with four cylinders and 96 hp, with two electric motors (one 49 hp motor and a high-voltage starter/generator motor) and an electric automatic gearbox (with 4 gears for the combustion engine and 2 gears for the electric one). This combined technology is possible because the system does not have a clutch.
The Duster with the TCe 130 48 V engine is available in three versions, Expression for €22,250, and Journey and Extreme for €24,050. The all-wheel-drive version, with the same engine, starts at €24,750 with the Expression trim level and €26,550 for the Extreme variant.
As for the Hybrid version, it is only available in the more equipped versions, and has a price of €29,000.
