Sergio Pérez helped Red Bull finish with both drivers in the top two positions of the Formula 1 World Championship for the first time in 2023. However, throughout the season, he had some fluctuations in performance that raised doubts about his future.
The current contract expires at the end of this year, and there is no shortage of contenders for the seat – such as Daniel Ricciardo and Yuki Tsunoda, who are currently in the Visa Cash App RB F1 Team. However, Pérez can still continue if he shows the performance for it.
The guarantee came from Red Bull advisor, Helmut Marko, in statements to ServusTV: ‘Pérez still has a contract for 2024. Now it’s up to him. If he drives similarly to how he finished the last races [of last year], we can easily start talking about a renewal.’
