The new Renault Scénic E-Tech 100% electric has been elected Car of The Year 2024 (International Car of the Year), succeeding the Jeep Avenger.
After the first round of voting last November, the Scenic E-Tech 100% electric was chosen as one of the seven finalists, along with the BMW Series 5, BYD Seal, Kia EV9, Peugeot E-3008/3008, Renault Scenic, Toyota C-HR, and Volvo EX30.
This Monday, in a ceremony held at the opening of the Geneva Motor Show, the jury composed of 59 automotive journalists from 22 countries elected the Scenic E-Tech 100% electric as Car of the Year, with a total of 329 points. It was followed by the BMW Series 5 in second place with 308 votes, while the Peugeot E-3008 closed the podium with 197 votes.
“This recognition demonstrates that we made the right choices: a range that breaks records, a generous and inviting interior space, all with a well-managed ecological footprint! If we add the driving pleasure and the “voiture à vivre” equipment, such as the new panoramic Solarbay sunroof or the state-of-the-art OpenR Link system with integrated Google systems, the Scenic E-Tech 100% electric has all the characteristics to strengthen its position in the European electric vehicle market,” emphasized Fabrice Cambolive, General Manager of the Renault brand.
Thus, the Scenic E-Tech 100% electric becomes the seventh Renault car to win the title of “Car of the Year,” following the Renault 16 (1966), Renault 9 (1982), Clio (1991), Scenic (1997), Megane (2003), and Clio (2006).
