After the Grenadier and its pick-up variant Quartermaster, Ineos Automotive has now revealed its third 4×4 model: the Ineos Fusilier, an SUV that will come with a 100% electric variant.
The new off-road model has smaller dimensions than the brand’s initial two models, but aims to maintain its excellent off-road qualities without compromising performance on asphalt.
In addition to offering a fully electric version, the Fusilier will also offer a variant that the brand claims has extended range, equipped with a gasoline engine capable of preserving the battery charge level in case a charging source is not available.
Ineos did not reveal further details of the new model’s technical specifications, nor did it disclose the date of its launch, only confirming that the Fusilier will be presented in the autumn of 2024.
“The Fusilier is a vehicle of excellent appearance and with two engine options that provide a real reduction in carbon emissions without compromising off-road capability or on-road performance. We are excited to bring our electric 4X4 to the market, but we are beginning to understand the clear limitations of the electric battery in certain situations,” said Jim Ratcliffe, President of Ineos.
