Valentin Debise will compete in the 2024 World Supersport season with Evan Bros. Yamaha. This team stands out as one of the top teams in the category, notably securing Andrea Locatelli’s title in 2020.
At 31 years old, Debise brings extensive experience in motorcycling. He has competed in full seasons in the 250cc and Moto2 World Championships, as well as participating in WSSP and the World Superbike Championship.
This year, the French rider completed his first full season in WSSP, finishing fifth in the championship with two podium finishes. He rode for GMT94 Yamaha, so he joins Evan Bros. already familiar with the YZF-R6 he will be riding.
Team principal Fabio Evangelista commented: ‘During this 2023 I had the opportunity to meet Valentin several times, and a great feeling was immediately born. At the end of the season we started talking about a possible collaboration for 2024: an idea that became a goal after the test we did together at Jerez. We are convinced that we can aim for the top positions next season, compatibly with what will be the balance between the various bikes on the grid. As a team we have decided to believe in Yamaha again, just as the factory believes in us, and certainly the fifth place obtained by Valentin last season on the R6 is a good starting point for 2024. Now we have a winter of work ahead of us, to optimize our package in every detail and arrive ready for the first round at Phillip Island’.
