Joe Biden Causes Chaos for Oregon Ducks Basketball Team
In a bizarre turn of events, President Joe Biden managed to disrupt a college basketball game between the Oregon Ducks and UCLA. The Ducks, who were staying at the same Beverly Hills hotel as Biden, found themselves stuck behind the presidential motorcade, causing a significant delay.
Less than an hour before tip-off, the Oregon team was still stranded at their hotel, unable to reach Pauley Pavilion. ESPN announcer Roxy Bernstein took to social media to express his disbelief, stating, “So this is a first… we are less than an hour from tip and (Oregon) is not here at Pauley Pavilion. They are stuck at their hotel and not moving because of the Presidential motorcade.”
Eventually, the Ducks were granted a police escort to the arena, arriving just 30 minutes before the scheduled start time. However, this wasn’t the end of their troubles. Many fans also experienced delays due to the Biden traffic, further adding to the chaos surrounding the game.
Despite their best efforts, the Ducks couldn’t overcome the early lead established by UCLA. Although they managed to secure a 1-point advantage at halftime, they ultimately lost to the surging Bruins with a final score of 71-63.
With a current record of 15-7, the Oregon Ducks are now ranked third in the Pac-12 standings. As the season approaches its end, the team is determined to avoid missing the NCAA Tournament for the third consecutive year. However, they can’t blame their recent loss on the Joe Biden motorcade.
It seems that even the President’s presence can’t escape controversy, and the Oregon Ducks learned this the hard way.
