Golden State Warriors Struggle, But Jonathan Kuminga Shines
The Golden State Warriors have had a tough season in the 2023-24 NBA campaign. However, things have been looking up for the team in recent weeks, thanks to the emergence of Jonathan Kuminga as a star player.
Kuminga, who had previously been given limited opportunities by head coach Steve Kerr, expressed his concerns about his role on the team. Fortunately, Kerr addressed the issue, and since then, Kuminga has been playing at an elite level. In a recent game against the Memphis Grizzlies, Kuminga scored an impressive 29 points, along with 6 rebounds and 4 assists.
In fact, Kuminga has now scored over 20 points in his last eight games. Kerr himself praised the young forward’s growth, stating, “JK has just really figured it out.” Kerr commended Kuminga’s ability to score the basketball during games.
Despite Kuminga’s impressive performances, the Golden State Warriors still find themselves in the 12th seed in the Western Conference, with a disappointing 21-24 record this season.
