For several years between the 1990s and 2000s, Eddie Jordan had his own team in Formula 1. Despite never fighting for titles, he welcomed drivers like Michael Schumacher, Damon Hill, Heinz-Harald Frentzen, or Ralf Schumacher. But, what if it were now, which drivers would the Irishman choose if he could opt for anyone?
That was the challenge thrown at him by the Formula For Success Podcast, in which he pointed out his ideal pair of drivers for a team that currently exists. Jordan admitted to being a fan of Charles Leclerc and rejected veterans like Fernando Alonso or Lewis Hamilton:
– I am a huge fan of Leclerc and would probably definitely have him. Lewis would be very hard to ignore, that’s for sure, even though time and years are not in his favor. I would think more ahead, so I wouldn’t have Alonso and I wouldn’t necessarily have Lewis. I’d go for Leclerc and Lando [Norris], to be honest. That would be the team I’d like.
