At 80 years old, Helmut Marko continues to be one of the leading figures at Red Bull in Formula 1 and, despite his age, does not seem to have any intentions of stepping down soon from his position as advisor.
According to RacingNews365.com and Formula.hu, the demanding Austrian has reportedly signed a contract extension for another three years. This means that there will be at least three more seasons of activity, after rumors circulated in 2023 about his departure when his current contract expires at the end of this year.
Involved with the Red Bull project since its inception in 2005, Marko had already worked with the brand, being responsible for the young driver development program since 1999 – after also having his own team RSM Marko competing under the name Red Bull Junior Team in Formula 3000 between 1999 and 2003.
