The Ferrari FXX-K Evo is a supercar launched by the Maranello brand in 2017, as an evolution of the FXX-K based on the La Ferrari. The model created for the tracks had limited production, which was accessible to Ferrari’s most loyal customers.
Now the auction house RM Sotheby’s has announced that it will auction a very special 1:2 scale model of the Ferrari FXX-K Evo, which is half the size of the produced version and was built by the Italian brand for use in the wind tunnel in order to develop the aerodynamic efficiency of the supercar.
Remember that the FXX-K Evo features the same hybrid system as the FXX-K, which delivers 1,050 horsepower, of which 860 horsepower comes from the internal combustion V12 engine and the remaining 190 horsepower is generated by the electric motor. However, the major evolution of this track-focused model is the aerodynamics developed in partnership between the engineers and designers of the “Centro Stile Ferrari,” which has allowed for vertical support values comparable to those offered by competition GT cars.
