The Regulatory Authority for Energy Services (ERSE) revealed that the average weekly price of fuels decreased compared to last week, by 0.1% for gasoline and 1% for diesel.
According to the ERSE report, the efficient price had an update, “compared to last week, of -0.1% for gasoline and -1% for diesel, taking into account the weekly variation of international prices for regular gasoline by -1% and for regular diesel by -2.2%”.
Thus, “for the week of December 4th to 10th, the Preço Eficiente (Efficient Price) before taxes is €0.795 per liter for regular gasoline and €0.885 for regular diesel. After taxes, the Preço Eficiente is €1.689 per liter for regular gasoline, and €1.634 for regular diesel”.
It should be noted that the efficient price “is a weekly average price determined by the ERSE and results from the sum of the following components: fuel prices in international reference markets and their maritime freights, primary logistics, including strategic and security reserves of the National Petroleum System, additional costs related to the incorporation of biofuels, and the retail component increased by the respective taxes”.
Regarding the previous week, the report states that “the average of the Prices announced at the entrance signs and reported in the Energy Single Counter was 5.8 cents per liter above the Efficient Price for regular gasoline, and 5 cents above for regular diesel”.
In percentage terms, “regular gasoline was announced at the entrance signs 3.3% above the Efficient Price, and regular diesel was 3% above”, according to the report.
