Valentino Rossi is going to take a new step in his career in motorsports, making his debut in the World Endurance Championship (WEC). After two seasons in the GT World Challenge Europe, he joins Team WRT for the main endurance championship, in the GT category: the new LMGT3.
The MotoGP legend will join the BMW M4 GT3 with the number #46. For now, his teammates for the WEC debut are unknown, with plenty of options among the extensive range of factory drivers from the Bavarian manufacturer.
It is worth remembering that earlier this month, Rossi participated in the WEC rookies test in Bahrain in the LMP2 category, showing a good pace. With BMW also present in the Hypercar class, that is a potential goal for Il Dottore, who will also make his debut in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2024.
