The Energy Services Regulatory Authority (ERSE) revealed that the average weekly price of fuels decreased by 0.8% for gasoline compared to last week, while diesel recorded an increase of 0.4%.
According to the ERSE report, the efficient price was updated, “compared to last week, by -0.8% for gasoline and +0.4% for diesel, taking into account the weekly variation of international prices for regular 95 gasoline at -2% and regular diesel at +0.8%”.
Thus, “for the week of November 27 to December 3, the Preço Eficiente (Efficient Price) before taxes is €0.796 per liter for regular 95 gasoline and €0.899 for regular diesel. After taxes, the Preço Eficiente stands at €1.690 per liter for regular 95 gasoline and €1.651 for regular diesel”.
It should be noted that the efficient price “is a weekly average price determined by ERSE and results from the sum of the following components: fuel prices in international reference markets and their maritime freights, primary logistics, including strategic and security reserves of the National Petroleum System, additional costs for the incorporation of biofuels, and the retail component increased by the respective taxes”.
Regarding the previous week, the report states that “it was found that the average Public Sale Prices announced on the signs, and reported in the Single Energy Counter, were 4.5 cents per liter above the Efficient Price for that week, in the case of regular 95 gasoline, and 6.1 cents above in the case of regular diesel”.
In percentage terms, “regular 95 gasoline was announced on the signs 2.6% above the Efficient Price and regular diesel was 3.6% above”, according to the report.
